Ingredients:

6 oz (175 g.) self-raising flour
4oz (100/125 g.) porridge oats
4oz (100/125 g.) dessicated coconut
4oz (100/125 g.) granulated sugar
1 level teaspoon of bicarbonate of soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
40z (100/125 g.) margarine
2 tablespoons of golden syrup :)
2 tablespoons water
1 egg, beaten, (give that egg a DAMN GOOD THRASHING)!

THE FOLLOWING IS STUFF THAT I CHUCK IN TOO, MAKES IT TASTE BETTER!.....:
A whole load of glace cherries, chopped up.
A small/ medium bag of chopped nuts.

Directions:

Oven Temperature: 300 degrees

Mix together the flour, oats, coconut, sugar, salt, cherries , nuts and bicarbonate of soda.

Melt the margarine and syrup in a small pan with the water, over a low heat. Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the egg. Pour onto the dry mix, get your hands in and mix it up really well!

Take of walnut sized pieces and kind of flatten them a little, put on a greased baking sheet, about 1 and a 1/2 inches apart.

Bake in the oven until a pale/ golden brown, about 15 mins should do it. Allow them to cool for a few minutes before placing them on a wire rack.

According to the recipe, u should be able to make about 24 of these, but I must make giant ones, 'cause I only usually manange about 16!

Store them in an air tight container.
