Well, this isn't exactly a recipe but it
is something you can do to prepare for that big party when you
know you are going to have a few.
Plus I don't bounce back the way I did when I
was 21.
I got this from e-Diets. They sent it to
me via e-mail and it seems to be the first real practical diet
tips I have gotten.
Here they are:
- The most common sense
answer to preventing a hangover is to drink moderately. Also,
alternate alcohol with non-alcoholic beverages. This will
help you stay hydrated.
- Eat. Put something in
your stomach to absorb the alcohol.
- Avoid mixing drinks.
- Taking evening primrose oil the night before.
- Taking vitamins B and C the night before.
- Eat honey.
- Beware of aspirin. It
may be helpful for the headache, but it may further irritate
your stomach.
- Avoid Tylenol. When mixed
with alcohol, Tylenol can cause some potentially serious liver
problems.
- Drink plenty of fluids.
Gatorade is a wise choice, since it can help in replacing
electrolytes that are depleted when drinking.
- Know when to say when.
That last drink could be the one to push you over the edge.
If you still feel like drinking, opt for a club soda or another
non-alcoholic beverage.
