Well, this isn't exactly a recipe but it is something you can do to prepare for that big party when you know you are going to have a few.

Plus I don't bounce back the way I did when I was 21.

I got this from e-Diets. They sent it to me via e-mail and it seems to be the first real practical diet tips I have gotten.

Here they are:

  1. The most common sense answer to preventing a hangover is to drink moderately. Also, alternate alcohol with non-alcoholic beverages. This will help you stay hydrated.

  2. Eat. Put something in your stomach to absorb the alcohol.

  3. Avoid mixing drinks.

  4. Taking evening primrose oil the night before.

  5. Taking vitamins B and C the night before.

  6. Eat honey.

  7. Beware of aspirin. It may be helpful for the headache, but it may further irritate your stomach.

  8. Avoid Tylenol. When mixed with alcohol, Tylenol can cause some potentially serious liver problems.

  9. Drink plenty of fluids. Gatorade is a wise choice, since it can help in replacing electrolytes that are depleted when drinking.

  10. Know when to say when. That last drink could be the one to push you over the edge. If you still feel like drinking, opt for a club soda or another non-alcoholic beverage.
