WELCOME TO VIKAR'S RANT! If you are one of the zillions of people that hates dieting, working out, and just the typical idiocy of your average dolt, you are at the right place.

I am Vikar and I'm here for you.

I don't have the solution for what ails you and I won't make you thinner or other people smarter but maybe....just maybe, I'll give you some peace. You'll know that one other person on this planet might just hate those things even more than you.

As for me, I formerly worked for a Fortune 500 financial company in New York (which I'm purposely keeping nameless for probable legal reasons) for 15 years. I've had roles as a Helpdesk Rep, a Web Page Designer/Developer, a QA tester, and an SLA Management Reporter. Personally, I saw enough nonsense there to last a lifetime and as a byproduct of my experience, I have a lot to write about.

As this is America and this is also the Internet, the last bastion of free speech left in this world as well as the last bit of nostalgia from the Bill of Rights, I will speak my piece.

My wife has very politely* asked me to not mention her name here as many of my opinions are extremely politically incorrect and she did not want to have her name spouted about the internet in association with mine.

I'll try to give my rants at least once a week.

*- Politely is a term loosely used when one tells you what to do while brandishing a tire iron like a samurai warrior. It seemed to be in my best interests to do as she says . It keeps me much healthier. I also find it easier to think when not recovering from a severe head trauma.

There are times that I can't find my socks let alone where I stashed a certain web page on this site.

If you are looking for something particular, use the site search engine to find it. This was one of the benefits of using Geocities as my ISP.

Recently, I've become a huge fan of the Fry & Laurie series "Jeeves & Wooster". Anytime Bertie had a problem he'd just "Ask Jeeves". For those of you who don't know the ASK JEEVES search engine is based on P.G. Wodehouse's brilliant butler.

Got a question? Just type it in and click "Ask."

Trust me, it's a lot.
